I am a employee at this Nursing Home. I truly love being there and taking care of these Amazing residents. We do the best we can. And then go even better to make our residents feel like this is their home and a safe clean place to live in . We have daily Activities as well. From Crafts to Games. To Church . And Special Guess who come to entertain us. We also have party's all the time . Come Check us out. And see for yourself. And a Good Clean environment.

My aunt came to Duquoin for permanent residency . Although my aunt could be quite difficult to care for, the staff was very patient . She was there a short time , (almost a year) before she passed away but the staff shared our loss. They shed some tears, we received a lot of hugs, even though she could have been considered Cantankerous! The administrator always made time for us if we had an issue of concern. The nursing staff was kind and demonstrated a well rounded knowledge and skill base. All places have staffing issues off and on. This place is not any different. But the staff worked hard not to short change any residents during those times. Do not make the mistake of thinking a large , modern, BEAUTIFUL place gives better care. Sometimes it is the smaller, simple places that display that family ambiance you are looking for when placing a love one. God Bless and Good Luck.

In the search to find my mother a place for recovery care I picked this place at random but when contrasting it with the place I moved her from it is so much nicer as in staff and facility quality a genuine relief and comfort in my choice. I have so much to deal with right now in getting her the care she need that this place has literally taken a load off my mind. But like I always say with reviews don't take my word visit the place and draw your own conclusion.
