My mom was nervous about moving out of her house, it took a little convincing, but we are so glad we did. The staff and residents were so welcoming! After we got her settled in she's even got her spark back. I can't say enough of how grateful we are to have her in a place that feels like home.

In an amazing environment where seniors are able to flourish - I am proud to be an employee of Heritage Woods. I would recommend our building to anyone who is looking for value based employment or quality Assisted/Supportive Living for their loved one. What is Supportive Living? 'Illinois developed the Supportive Living Program (SLP) as an alternative to nursing home care for low-income older persons and persons with physical disabilities under Medicaid.By offering personal care and other services, residents can live independently and take part in decision-making. Personal choice, dignity, privacy, and individuality are emphasized. The Department of Healthcare and Family Services has obtained a 'waiver' to allow payment for services that are not routinely covered by Medicaid. These include personal care, homemaking, laundry, medication assistance, social and health activities, recreation, and 24-hour staff to meet residents' scheduled and unscheduled needs. The resident is responsible for paying the cost of room and board at the facility.'
