Wouldnt recommend anyone work for the CedarHurst of Collinsville. The management is a joke (trainees dont get taught correctly )the stuff gossips like theyre all still in highschool. People come in late like it is normal! They take you off the schedule but are always calling you asking to come. Dont listen to you when to have an issue do not send loved ones there lazy workers and unorganized staff !!!! 0/5

Putting my dad at Cedarhurst was one of the best decisions I made in the years of managing his health. Cedarhurst welcomed him even though he was gruff, grumpy, a hoarder, and often looked homeless. After a few months of Cedahursts kind, caring staff and community, however, there was a beautiful change in my father: after decades of living in isolation, my dad finally had a sense of belonging. Finally happy and content, he would chat and joke with friends, help people with their coffee, and play bingo and cards into the evening, even on his very last night of his life. And in the end, my fear that my dad would die alone, sad, and unnoticed for days was abated: he was noticed missing at breakfast, proper protocol was made, I had immidiate and contiual contact with management and staff two states away, and once the EMTs left they gathered and prayed over his body. Cedarhurst has so much heart and love to give, please know even the gruffest of hearts can find a home here.

Moving my parents out of their home of 60 years was an incredibly difficult experience, made possible only by the kindness, professionalism, and energetic staff of Cedarhurst in Collinsville. The facility is bright and cheery, always well kept with staff willing to listen and improve on issues when there is a concern. Patience and love is demonstrated in every situation I have observed, from meals and personal care to planning personal events for my parents. One can feel a sense of family and commitment the moment you walk into the lovely entrance. Janet, Kari, and Sonny are always smiling, and watching out for their residents, even when things are busy. Nurse Beth is so patient and respectful. All the staff I have met are vested in all aspects of the well-being of their residents, willing to do whatever is needed.

A terrible place to send your loved ones. Staff is inexperienced and lazy. The nurses cant even be bothered to get up and check on people. Food is barely edible. The building is falling apart. I wouldnt be surprised if the place was shut down within the next 5 years. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here to live much less my family members.
