Symphony of Orchard Valley

Hi all, I've been in healthcare for over 12 years now and have worked for many locations. Symphony of Orchard Valley is by far a step up from the Countryside that it was under previous ownership. As I child i grew up in the neighborhoods surrounding this location. I have had multiple family members here and at other local places. Not to mention, I'm in this building weekly currently. First and foremost, OV has a phenomenal management team. They also have good quality standards and outcomes. Their return to hospital rate is low and they have a good group of care givers. Reality, this is an older building which is what you need to look past. Not look at, but past.Yes it provides short-term and long-term care, a long with Memory care. Now, the memory care is well trained and skilled care unit. My family had a great experience there. But my best suggestion to any on here that have concerns at any SAR/LTC. Communication is key, if you don't advocate for change, no one will do it for you or even know there is a problem. The team here is brilliant and good to fix circumstances that go astray.

My grandmother resides here or should I say resided here u till today .shes complained about the nurses being rude to her and bully her Im not rasict but its the black nurses in there with a attitude she says they are mean to her and obviously she doesnt speak English! I went up there once and man the black nurses are evil!!!! Lawsuit coming soon!!!!!!

Staff very friendly n helpfull

The nurse gave my son less pain medication than was ordered by the doctor, then let him lay in pain for three hours without correcting it. This particular nurse had an attitude with more than just my son and was talked to. Food was served ice cold. Its not like helpless patients can do anything about it either and they know it. I am not even impressed. I would also like to add it was a holiday weekend when this happened and the food improved after we complained and they are short staffed.
