Vacation Rental Authority

We rented our house , a boat and Jetskis all with this company . Having it all together made it so easy! The boats were better priced than other dealers and picking up at the marina made it so easy and convenient . The boat and jetskis were in great condition and had the right amount of life vests . A couple issues with our house came up but they were addresses and resolved quickly. Everyone on the office was amazing and knowledgeable about the town. Great company , easy to work with . Nice equipment / houses.

Beware of this company!! We had rented a property with vacation rental and a few hours before check in (when everythings packed and the kids are all excited to go), Steve calls and informs us that the property is not available. He doesnt necessarily provide us a good reason for the same. Tells us theres only 1 option (a shared condo with no private waterfront access when we booked a private beach house and requested for a similar property), asks us to look over and call him back. When we look online, we find another option which is a private house similar to what we were looking for. We call several times but cant reach him, then finally get forwarded to someone called Debbie. She appears extremely insensitive and completely unprofessional. Not willing to work with us, tells us we cant get that property. First she tells us the property has a 3 day min, which is clearly not listed online. When we tell her its actually allowing us to book the property online, she started telling us its not available. Also, this property was cheaper than what we had originally booked. Of course, we couldnt find any other property at such short notice and ended up with 3 little kids who were beyond disappointed. Imagine the kids all geared up to spend most of their time in the waters the next few days and then being told sorry we will now need to spend time at home instead of the waters. I would caution everyone when booking through this company.

Our family tested positive for COVID19 and we are cancelling our reservation for next month. The only options Vacation Rental Authority gives for refunding due to COVID is to rebook the dates until next year or be offered a 90% refund if, and only if, the specific nights of our reservation get booked by someone else. If the nights go unreserved by another party, we have no option to be refunded. Poor policy in light of a global pandemic. I highly suggest booking through Airbnb or another reservation website that does not penalize guests for contracting COVID19. We are Coeur d'Alene locals who booked this home for our wedding guests and, after contracting COVID19 due to community spread, advise all to reconsider booking through VRA and to be aware of the COVID risks during your vacations to Coeur d'Alene this summer.

Great location, value and beautifully renovated and clean house. Best rental by far so far. Easy walk to many food options and rental bike options. Short walk to downtown makes it easy for kids. Great back yard for kids to plays.

Great summer gig! The team at VRA made coming in to work not seem like a j-o-b. Work is fun, fast-paced, in friendly, family-oriented, and professional environment!
