There have been many reported break-ins, and thefts, or vandalism, in all of the community gardens, so I can understand why the gardeners may be wary of visitors walking through the gardens. We need to be careful not to assume that someone who may look suspicious, is there to take something, but also, they need to understand our concern as well.

Today I decided to walk through the community garden. I hadn't even started when one of the patrons decided to start interrogating me. She asked me why I was there and why was carrying an empty bag to which I explained to her Id just gone swimming and the bag had swimming stuff inside. She just responded we have cameras you know. It is my understanding (and what is posted on a sign at the entrance) that the public is free to walk through and look but not touch, which is what I was doing. If this is not the case please post it on your message board.

Great place for the great community. Lots of workshops for kids and adults, sport courts and a nice pool.
