My dad has been a resident at this center for over 2 years and I am grateful for the wonderful experiences he has had there. Its rare to find someone who doesnt go over and beyond to help.

We took my mother to Northlake Gardens after she had to be evacuated from her apartment due to hurricane Florence. She ended up staying for 2 weeks. The place is not particularly fancy, not modern and new like some other options, but I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for kind people who know how to make an older person and their family feel welcome and wanted. Ultimately, it is the relationships and the kind of care that is given that will outweigh the outward appearances of an assisted living facility. Everyone was very welcoming and treated my mom like family, which helped us all out so much. When it was time to go back to her own facility, she was sad to leave. The executive director, Katrina, was so easy to work with and responsive to our needs. Tanja, the food director, was also especially welcoming and sweet and we appreciated the med tech. who worked with my mom. He treated her with warmth and respect. Working with individuals who suffer with dementia is a challenging job, for caregivers and employees at a facility. My interactions with everyone at Northlake Gardens were pleasant, making our challenging experience a positive one.
