Discovery Village At Sugarloaf

I have my mom at Discovery Village of Sugarloaf and Im trying my best to find somewhere to take her out Of discovery . As far as I can see they always sit at the table in the back and do nothing. I now its not the care staff because they do the best they can with them. I speak with Steven several times but its like talking to a wall . I love Jamie Welch Patrice Smith and Faith Harris they are the best thing they have going on there as far as I can see God bless them for there hard work . Steven and , Thomas should be given them a big raise For the hard work they do.the memory care department is running very poorly I have talk with other family members and they feel the same way am feeling.the other side always have something going on over there why can the memory care do the same we pay good money for The ones we love to be there because they have dementia does not mean they cant have fun too .Steven and Thomas put all there time on the Independent side .i been there several time never see Steven comes back to the memory care and have lunch are dinner with the resident he probably could not tell you the names of the resident in the memory care Department

This is a great community with ever present local leadership in the executive director, Steven Custer. He takes great care in the whole community and all the residents, and has even spearheaded a men's group for the residents to go on outings like fishing trips every month. In addition to local leadership, Discovery Senior Living has great corporate values and standards which are clear to see. I see nothing but happy faces on the residents and families.

Anyone thinking of bring a family member at Discovery Village of sugarloaf should think twice .what they show you is not what youre getting its not family friendly the ED is very racist he dose not treat all of is Staff member The same the Director is just as bad they always cover things up that go on over there they talk about the family members they talk about staff I just couldnt work for a company like that anymore so I quit. Before I go am not going to say any name but if youre reading this the ED have is white staff watching you but stay strong Dont give up its about time someone stand up to them they get away with too much that place needs to go to hell but hell is too good for them.

I read the reviews and I absolute Lee agree With what jeje say about the memory care my husband was back in the memory care and whenever I would go on see him he would just be sitting there doing nothing . So please tell me where do Steven take the mens fishing.i never see Steven back in the memory care doing anything for the mens are with the mens. Ps my husband is no longer in the memory care there but I believe in my heart one day we shall see.
