Great place to live but watch out for the HOA they are out to make your life miserable

First of all these are not Apartments. These are homes that are owned by private owners who will rent their home. I am a homeowner here and although the outward appearance is very neat and clean, living here is a headache. The homeowners association has many, many rules which we must follow or we can be fined. Although some rules certainly make sense, many rules are absolutely ridiculous. They do not allow you to park in your driveway overnight. They do not allow you to park on the street. They have created an overflow parking lot right across the street from my home. Overlooking a parking lot is never a pretty view. The Overflow parking area has created a dangerous situation for me. I pleaded with the board to do away with the Overflow parking or fence the property in order to create a more safe living environment for me. Needless to say, they did absolutely nothing. Monthly inspections are done. If something is dirty or you have plants outside you will receive a letter to remedy that situation. And the list of foolishness goes on.......If you decide to look here for a rent please be sure to ask how much their monthly HOA fee is. Of course if you choose to rent, the HOA fee will be paid through your monthly rent payment. The devil is in the details at the Atrium Villa Apartments!
