Houses are fairly nice, place seems to be decently well put together. The people who renovate, and clean the houses for new move ins are basically glorified amateurs. They paint the trim very quickly with no tape usage as apparent by the profound white paint splatters that are all over the plastic hardwood and plastic wall to floor trim. They paint over surfaces without edging so the place just looks fairly tacky. The maintenance people themselves are fairly knowledgeable and good if you can get them to come out. They will fix your problem and usually available in a timely matter, especially if it's an 'emergency'. If something isn't an emergency dont expect anyone to show up. All together the houses are clean. The management staff and the housing office are the people who make this place a 1 Star. The company needs to reevaluate senior management personnel. If it's a Saturday and the office is scheduled to be open, absolutely dont count on that. Someone here is getting away with a nice scam because if you call on a Saturday or friday evening you will be redirected to the answering service who will tell you that the office is suppose to be open and that they're not sure why it's coming straight to answering service. However this will always be the case. If something isn't life or death then the answering service people will be completely useless to help. They dont directly work for the company and dont know anything about what is going on. Maintenance people are the best honestly. They're nice, helpful, and get things done. They dont have a direct number, because all calls go through the main office or answering service then get direct to the maintenance team. So I can blame none of the downfalls of this place on the maintenance team. They're the reason this place still functions as a company. Areas to improve for the company would be to get people who repaint and redo the houses to spend the free extra days to make them look like they weren't done by amateurs. They could use actual painters tape so parts of the light switches, plastic trim, various outlets weren't painted on or splattered with paint stains. The floors could be sealed correctly and not have pieces coming up or missing. The cabinets could be resanded and painted. Its obvious the goal is when one tenant moves out to get the place clean and fixed as quickly as possible and get another tenant in. Purely driven by profit and not the best interests of the consumer. Seems like the company holds a contract with the DOD so they're not really that interested in consumer needs.

The housing itself is not bad. My complaint is for whatever reason the power keeps going out every week, for 4 to 6 hours at a time and no clue why....so majority of the time sitting here with no power....food in our fridge goes bad...it's just not a fun experience at all...I hope someone at housing is going to pay for replacement groceries ebryime this happens. Oh and worse thing is, power goes out without a warning...

Stay away from Balfour Beatty. The AC in my unit has been down for over 2 months. We had a window unit for about a month. They took the window unit when they 'fixed' the ac. It is now 89 degrees in the unit with a 'working' AC unit. STAY AWAY.
