Heathrow Senior Village

My mother lived here and the apartments are very nice and roomy. The only issue I had with the complex was them referring to themselves as 'assisted living'. Only thing in the apartment that indicated assisted living was a thing over the stove to pull and put out a fire. There were no hand rails, toilets were normal toilets, nothing to turn on or push to indicate a person needed help, doors were normal size which could cause a problem for walkers and especially wheelchairs. tubs were normal step into tubs, no walk-in showers only step over tubs. If there was a maint. issue they were somewhat slow to respond. Seems they also have problems getting good resident managers that stay on the property and are easy to reach. Taking the garbage out was crazy. Someone had to handle walker and carry garbage a good distance to the dumpster. It is really just a normal complex that has not been upgraded to assisted living.
