Golden Pond

Need more staff in memory care. To few CNA's to handle the needs and safety of these fragile residents.

The patients will be neglected as they have no supplies or staff. The state should shut them down they are horrible. They have a $60 million dollar fraud lawsuit in North Carolina right now! Move your loved ones before it is too late!

At least one star was required to write a review, though directors at this facility are unethical, and I'm not comfortable with even 1 star. Golden Pond met with our mother and family members almost two yeas ago, and provided comfort in knowing that my mother, and her medical needs, would be accepted, and that this would be her home. We were assured that palliative care would be coordinated at Golden Pond should she need in this service in the future. There have been 3 General Managers since this promise was made. The current GM, Dan, lost our trust 4 months ago when he did not return messages. Kelisha, the current Director of Nursing, completely broke our familys trust when she made a decision to dump our mother at a local hospital. I use the term dump because the hospital social worker used this term with the family. We watched our mother sob in the hospital bed because she felt homeless. Kelisha or Dan has not connected with my mother, or the family. The corporate office has been contacted, and Im hoping that this review may encourage them to respond.Update 8/20/19: Although, I did not bring my mother back to Golden Pond, Dan and Grant met with me and showed genuine concern for our claims and informed me that they were investigating the incident. A refund check was also provided, and we appreciate their attention.

I been meaning to write this review for sometime now but visiting my grandfather yesterday reminded me of why it's so important to leave one. Nurse Julie and Penny are amazing! Always a big help. The staff does such an amazing job with the patients here. Everyone has a smile on their face and look happy to be at work. It was impressive to see the care director Calisha and her assistant Cheryl dance and laugh with the patients, shows alot about their involvement outside of their office. The patients love that kind of attention. My family is pleased with the love and care given to our loved one.

I can honestly say the the recent reviews seem to be sabotaging. I have toured Golden Pond and moved both of my parents in recently as 2 weeks ago. This facility is clean and so full of love. I ate lunch there with my parents and the food was absolutely as good as a 5 Star Fine Dining.The staff were all very happy and attending to our needs. The Executive Director, Sheila sat down and talked to us while we were eating. She is a very lovely lady and you can see how much she is loved by everyone. She did say the Golden Pond will be undergoing renovations in the next couple of weeks. This place is already absolutely a very stunning facility. We chose Golden Pond because the love that is felt between staff and the residents that reside there. I am telling anyone reading this review to go see Golden Pond for yourself. The negative reviews are way off base and absolutely cannot be true. Maybe disgruntle past employees as now all new manager's have taken over. You will not be dissatisfied with Golden Pond. It is fabulous!
