Having worked in this facility for 8 years I can say most emphatically that it is a decent building with decent employee's who care about the residents. There will always beCompany restrictions that employee's can not change, budgets that should be met but not at the expense of a resident. There are those who believe they always come 1st, in assisted living , It's assisted living we can not nor should not do everything for you! Be as independent as you can be for as long as you can be means priority is given to those in immediate need. No call for assistance is taken lightly, if for example you should call for bathroom assistance while a resident has fallen or another emergency has occurred then ur need is less, an aide will get to you.If the service you pay for is refused it is still chargeable, service was offered you refused.Many family members believe we can restrict their loved one from leaving the property, not so says the state of Florida. If a resident is on the A. L. side we cannot restrict your comings/goings. Memory care is another issue.Frequent the chef meetings get what you ask for on the menu, go to activities enjoy your time.So many do not take advantage of what is available and complain of being bored, it is your choice so I sincerely hope you will get up get out be involved in your community!!!!
