Was accepted into rehab here after a lengthy hospital stay.Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The physical and occupational staff got me back on my feet.I'd like to post a special 'Thank You' to everyone at Life Care Center Punta Gorda.

My 81 year old mother is currently recovering at this place. I received an email notice regarding an overdue bill. I live in a different country and was unable to reach her at home so I called the police to see if they could check her house and hospitals to find her. I was searching, the police searched, Facebook friends were searching, freakin' REDDIT was searching, other family members were searching, her lawyer was searching. She was finally found by another family member who resides in Pennsylvania! Apparently it did not occur to these people to suggest to an elderly woman that notifying her family of her move to a recovery facility might be a good thing to do. Outrageous! These people obviously don't give a flying rat's behind enough to know that obvious things to do might not occur to a recovering elderly person!

My mom has been there for a few years and although the care is adequate clothing and other things we've bought have disappeared but today was the kicker ... my moms dentures just disappeared ... tomorrow will be 2 days without her upper dentures besides being undignified my mom deserves much more ... Sadly I feel filing a complaint with the state may be where we end up ...

My mother was in their care for over a year. The care was subpar, starting with not telling my father there was an alternate menu when she stopped eating to not dressing her and getting her out of bed on the weekends. They treated my father like an uneducated man when it came time to discuss the private payments he had to make to the center. Their emphasis was on making their money off of him, shame on them for losing sight of why the patients are there. I would never recommend this place to anyone, I can only hope my father receives better care if and when he will need it in the future. I would give them zero stars if I could. Thankfully my mother is now at peace.

Great place. I love the staff and the facility is clean and awesome. Wish I could live there.
