I have had two occasions in two years to need the emergency department at Ascension Sacred Heart Gulf Hospital in Port St. Joe, Florida. Last summer I injured my foot when I stepped on storm debris in St. Joseph Bay. It was a nasty puncture wound, and they got me sorted quickly and back to my family and my vacation.Just a few days ago I had a badly broken and infected tooth that was causing me severe pain. With no dentists available going into July 4th weekend, I went to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital, and they took very good care of me to get me through until everything reopens on Monday.I cannot say enough good things about the caring staff at this wonderful hospital. It's a great credit to Port St. Joe and a great benefit to its residents and visitors.
