I spoke with my mother today about my Uncle who recently moved into SRH&RC. She was so upset because she went to visit my Uncle a couple days back and when she arrived he was lying on the floor, as he fell out of bed and there were NO SIDE RAILS UP! My uncle cannot get out of bed, walk or barely move without assistance. On top of that, he has dementia. We have no idea how long he had been on the floor laying there. When my mom seen him, she screamed out for someone to help as she wasn't sure if he was alive or if he had passed there alone on the floor. This is NOT acceptable and could have been PREVENTED. You always put side rails up on patients who are immobile and prone to falling. I mean that is part of the most basic principles in taking care of elderly patients. My mom also told me there was no water to be found in his room. He is unable to poor water himself and has to drink from a cup with a straw. There was literally no cup, no water anywhere to be found. The aide was going to get a pitcher and explained that he needs assistance because he cannot poor water himself. I gave my mother the information on who to reach out and report this to because someone needs to be made aware. After reading some of the comments below, it truly saddens me the care human being receive in their later days. I think it's when the most care should be given. If you have family here - watch over them carefully especially if they invalid or have dementia.

I admitted my mom there 3 times and every time the staff was great. This last time she wanted to stay. She has a wonderful set of nurses that cares for her and she calls them her little girls. I love that they make it a family like environment. I would recommend this place to everyone.

If I could give zero stars I would. My grandmother was placed here because she had a stroke. She also started having sundowners after her stroke. I drove all the way from Texas to look after her and I spent the night with her. She complained of being hot all day I asked for a fan and they didnt bring one until she was dripping sweat later that night. The food was awful. She couldn't remember to press the button to get help to use the restroom and I pressed it for her and it took them 15 minutes to get in there. I threw out my back getting her in there myself because I wasnt going to let her soil herself. Also the nurses couldn't seem to take blood pressure correctly to the point where my grandmother was begging me to make them stop. To top it off, while she was in their care she got a bad cut on her leg and nothing was done about it. She improved and was sent home but then had to go to the hospital because it had gotten infected. They were going to amputate it but the doctors did something wrong and she bled to death. I lost my grandmother, my best friend. If you love your family member find another place to rehabilitate them.
