Good Samaritan Society - Florida Lutheran

I had the pleasure to meet staff within the facilty and see how they interact with the residents and it was amazing. They were very kind and caring and greeted everyone with a smile and a conversation.

I love visiting the Good Samaritan Society in Deland, Florida. The residents are always engaged in fun activities and are often seen outside enjoying each other's company. It's a beautiful campus with so much to offer. If you or a loved one are considering moving to a Sr Living community or are in need of post acute care, I strongly encourage you to call for a tour!

Very unprofessional hiring experience, recieved an email after putting in an application asking what time I would be available for an interview, I told them 8 AM next day. I get there 5 minutes before 8, I then proceed to wait around for an hour and thirty minutes because the person who is supposed to be conducting the interview is not there or answering any phone calls. Someone finally comes along to conduct the interview, while this man was very nice, it did not feel like a formal interview. I recieved an email this morning asking if I was available for a second interview today, I was busy in the morning and worked until 5 PM so I told them 5:45 I could be there or the next day at 8 AM. They replied saying 'thanks for your interest but we've decided to proceed with other individuals.' Very disappointed. Maybe if I had actually gotten a real interview I'd be singing a different song. Total waste of my time, thanks!

I have the pleasure to work with extraordinary team members to whom all share and are committed in spreading God's love in word and deed by providing shelter and supportive services to older persons and others in need. We believe that 'In Christ's love, everyone is someone.' I am honored to be a member of Good Samaritan Society.

Want to thank Melissa Long for a wonderful tour of the facility. She made my Mom and I feel such a relief to have a place we could place my Dad. She is very good at her job and very knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.
