Where to start My mother moved in to Grand Villa October 1st 2018. She signed the lease in July of that year but was not able to move in until October until she relocated here out of state. She paid the monthly rent on time to hold her room. Once she moved in she enjoyed where she was at. She made friends which for an 89 year old relocating to a new area that she's unfamiliar with was a blessing. She noticed right away little things such as her bed not being made and the room to be cleaned did not occur as was stated. She attempted to let them know and for awhile it would be better but would not be consistent. Then the rumor started of rate increases which caused my mother anxiety along with other residents. For her being on a fixed income with social security and VA benefits to have to increase the amount was quite concerning. In July of 2019 she received a letter that she was to sign that showed the monthly amount would stay the same. 2 weeks later she received another letter stating the amount was going up and that the new monthly amount would take place in less than 15 days August 1st. In speaking with management and raising her concerns she was told that the new monthly amount would only be good until the end of the year at which time there will be another increase. At this point we will need to find a new location for her to relocate to but my concern is for this population of individuals that are on a fixed income to be put under the stress of increasing fees. This is not a population that can go out to secure another job or a better paying job they are on a fixed income. With the increase of fees it doesn't include more service...truthfully she's not even getting the services that were originally to be provided. Shame on management...I realize this is a moot point and there will be another person to take her place but again...how can you justify so many increases in such a short time? When people are coming in if you're discounting the rates to get them in the door ( and not disclosing they are discounted) and then your argument is that they're not paying what the posted rate is that's poor business.

I was under pressure to get my father into an assisted living due to him becoming unstable and falling. Maya welcomed was with warmth and helped us every step of the way. Trish went the distance to help me achieve all the paperwork I needed and Rocco gave a deep overview of Grand Villa. He also went out of his way to welcome father and try to introduce to other residents immediately.
