My mother moved into the Californian as an independent/retirement resident in late November of 2019 and we have had an unpleasant, stressful and extremely disappointing experience with the administrative team. They demonstrate a lack of integrity, customer service and communication skills. The 'worker bees' (housekeeping, laundry, dining room staff and activity directors) are great. The food could use some work. She will be moving as she is no longer comfortable living there

Family has been here for 3 years. We love how well our family member is being cared for. They staff are always kind and friendly and the activities are always engaging. We enjoy the family days they plan throughout the year.

This place has been nothing short of negligent and incompetent for caring for my grandma. She has not been there a few short weeks and we already put in her 30's day notice. Although at first they promise a lot of great things, they are not equips to help take care of people, even in the little things like administering the correct dosage of medicine. We are contacted DAYS later (if we are even contacted at all) if something is wrong and the staff seems to not care about her wellbeing. I worry about her constantly and am so unhappy with their service. I wouldn't trust them with my life, let alone my sick grandma's. Beware.

Really beautiful community. All the updating they just finished in the building made it look even more amazing. Friendly & knowledge staff are a plus. I really felt the love and compassion they feel for the people that live there. I didn't know that they can care for such a large array of assisted needs. Their memory care unit is so peaceful. I love the transitions unit where you can stay in the community but still get heavy care. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family! My grandma and even mom want to move in today!
