Moving to Valle Verde was a big decision. But it was an easy one, and it's turned out to be one of the very best decisions we could have made. There are several major reasons for this: 1) the physical facility itself; 2) the outstanding management team; 3) the diverse and friendly residents, and 4) the limitless opportunities for activities and learning. Check out Valle Verde for your retirement community; you won't be sorry!

My husband and I arrived at Valle Verde from Washington, Dc, four years ago. My husband was hesitant about 'Californians' being an easterner. To our surprise we were greeted and welcomed by the most interesting people with incredible backgrounds. My husband and I felt at home immediately. Having an individual private home and patio gave us such a feeling of privacy, no hallways, elevators, etc. You feel like you are in a beautiful community, with winding streets , lush gardens and complete open spaces. A reminder of home.During the pendemic we have been so well protected and I must say the staff has gone out of their way to make this difficult time as pleasant as possible.I thank my lucky stars each day that we chose Valle Verde. So fortunate to be here.

My name is Lorna Hedges and I am delighted to have the opportunity to tell you about my experience of living at Valle Verde. We all make decisions all our lives, some momentous and others not so but whatever the decision it affects our lives in some manner. Given one's personal circumstances deciding that one's future would be better served moving to a retirement community is indeed a momentous decision--and one you don't want to second guess later. In the beginning the main attraction for me is the fact that VV is spread out over 65 acres with all buildings SINGLE story whether free standing homes or duplexes, triplexes or four plexes--and I emphasize SINGLE. I did not want to spend the rest of my life in an apartment house with the sameness that seems to generate. There is no one size fits all here. Not only is the architecture pleasing but the grounds are beautiful with color the year round and beautifully taken care of by a group of dedicated groundskeepers. There are paths throughout and walking is both encouraged and a delight. Not only is there Residential living here but there is the Assisted living unit, another that deals with Memory Care and a Health Care Facility. One's present or future medical needs are taken care of.The Administration is transparent and the Mission seems to be to make sure that we are all taken care of in every respect. I have loved living here since the moment i moved in and have felt safe in every respect.I had been living here for 6 months when the pandemic of Covid 19 hit the country and everything changed. I cannot begin to tell you how fortunate I feel to be a resident here during this dreadful time. The Administration immediately went into full quarantine mode and basically built a cocoon to keep us as safe as possible as well as attempting to keep the virus away--although the philosophy has been not 'if' but 'when' and how to deal with it. I have owed VV a peace of mind that I would never have had outside of here and still feel that way and always will be grateful.

As my husband and I neared our 80th birthday we no longer wanted to own and maintain our own home. We wanted a retirement community where if one of us became ill, we would be well taken care of. We also wanted a community where when one of us passed away the survivor would have a happy life as a widow or a widower. I'm happy to say Valle Verde met our expectations. My husband, after many months of a debilitating illness, passed away last year. The care he received from the staff here was extraordinary. And as a widow, I have found a community of friends that helped me thru the grief of his passing and now I enjoy every day of living in this supportive community. And my children are relieved that their Mom is happy and well looked after.
