Transitioning a loved one into a different environment can be difficult on you and the loved one. The folks at Golden Pond were extremely helpful and understanding. They helped make the transition much less bumpy.A family oriented atmosphere with a real sense of community. My father was very excited about moving in after we first toured the property. All he could talk about was how he was going to arrange the furniture and decorate his 'Bachelor Pad'. LOL!!! It was a great experience from start to finish.

I facilitate an Alzheimer's Patient Support Group at Golden Pond. Because of this, I see what goes on at Golden Pond on a weekly basis. They are wonderful with the residents who live at the facility. There are always interesting activities going on there. They have a movie theater where they play a different movie everyday. They have a Bistro for snacks, a pub for libations (it has hours posted when it is open), there is also a small putting green area for those who like golf but can't go to the golf course any more and many more amenities. Their activities department is very active and involved with each resident. I haven't met an employee yet who doesn't know each resident's name. I would have placed my own Mother there if the need had arisen and I love my Mother and always wanted the best for her.

I facilitate a support group for caregivers at Golden Pond and have done so for over a year now. I have gotten to know many of the residents and their families. I have not met anyone that doesn't enjoy the facility, staff, many activities and outings. Even the Administrator knows each one of the residents and is available to them on a personal basis. And the Activity Director? She is so creative with Carnivals, Car Shows, Musical Entertainment, Theatre, and on and on. Personally, I am a bit jealous because currently I don't enjoy that level of social life and at a younger age...

Ive worked at this facility for 2 months in assisted living department worst place ever the girl that trained me Brendy had a different color hair everyday always wore joggers but told everybody else not to was always in ligas office not working at all with kelly who is the assistant manager will always follow liga around she only gave full time hours to the people that would make her look good and give gift cards out to the staff that did so I dont recommend this place because the trainer there is sisters with the assistant manager they live together which is favoritism which she pretty much runs the show and always gives her the easy halls when we are short the assistant or the director never helps us and she would always let everybody create there own work hours leave residents unattended to and filled out false shower sheets if you want a job where you can work with all your family and never do work this is the place for you just dont put the information on the application best way to go thats what everybody else would
