The Gables is one of the very special treasures of the Ojai Valley. I have had the opportunity to visit the Gables for a variety of events and am consistently impressed by the magic feeling the campus has. I call it campus because it must be about 6 or 8 acres of beautiful cottages, fruit trees, and mature landscaping. It is peaceful and very refreshing to visit. I have visited with a few of the residents there and they seem to really enjoy the events the community hosts. I was a part of a oil painting class that was just top notch! I also got invited to lunch once and they gave me the most delicious vegetarian option I have had in a while. Just a treat! If you are in the area I recommend walking through the campus. Its very special!
