This place is wonderful! Talk about owners and staff that really care for your loved one! I would reach out to Mike and Regina for one of my family members to stay at their facility. It is clean, they have healthy, full meals, they work with the residents to become stronger and stay moving. Its a beautiful place to be and its nice and quiet too. Id definitely recommend this place to anyone looking.

With aging family members, I reflect on all stages of life and the blessings I've received from each stage. I'll admit, considering the next stage, caring for an elderly parent, makes me nervous. I am grateful and reassured, knowing caring individuals, like Mike Grattidge, RN, Owner of Orchard View Senior Care, are there to guide us through this challenging phase of life. Mike is the most knowledgeable and caring RN I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I have watched him guide families through assisted living and palliative care with grace, ease, compassion, and a reassuring calm that very few can deliver. It is truly a gift and I know, when the time comes, Orchard View Senior Care will be there with advice, transparency, and expert care for our loved ones.

My mom felt like she was home after arriving here. Like she had a new 2nd family. Mike Grattidge, RN & Owner, helped to make her last months comfortable and fun. All the staff is patient and wonderful. I will never forget them. I highly recommend Orchard View for your loved one who needs extra care with loving kindness!

I was searching desperately for a small home setting for my mom in the Chico area. I did not want her to be in one of those large, impersonal facilities where people cry out for help and no one responds. I wanted her in a warm, homelike setting. Her insurance required a nurse on staff. I was referred to Orchardview in the Durham area. The peaceful, rural area at the four corners in Durham was perfect! It is bright and cheery. The caregivers are so sweet and compassionate. Mike, the owner, in an RN with many years experience in home health and hospice. I moved her there. She came from a facility in LA with 20 residents which sounds small but there was 1-2 caregivers at a time. That is 1 caregiver to 10 very high need residents. At night, it was 1 to 20! When I found her restrained, it was time to move her. At Orchardview, there is no less than 1 caregiver to 6 residents. I loved the activities I saw....planting seeds, playing games, throwing a ball around, church bus service and more. Mike and his wife live on campus and are available. Mike and his staff really relate to the people in their care. They are loving and warm. The residents are happy. This is the model of how we should provide care for our elderly loved ones. The cost is so much less than anything else I found. I highly recommend Orchardview to anyone considering a change for their loved one.
