I am currently staying with them following an unexpected two way bypass. I was not able to take care of my self at home but with their help I soon will. The nurses are great and to those who complain about unreasonable wait times, sometimes several call lights go off at the same time. The nurses and nurses aides scramble to take care of their patients needs as quickly as possible. I've seen therapists, housekeeping, and even office staff helping where they could. Nobody wants to be here but if you need some help this is a good place to get it.

My wife Marilyn 'Louise' Goold has been a patient at Oak River for the past six weeks. During this time I have had the opportunity to speak with and observe the care givers doing very exceptional work that makes very trying circumstances bearable. I just want to say thank you to all of you, it takes very special people to do the work you do and to do it as well as you do. Thank You; Wallace B. 'Wally' Goold

StaffIt is not a superlative when I say that the staff, everyone of them, are the most genuine and caring healthcare professionals I have ever encountered. I am very astute when it comes to human character and I encountered not a single 'fake' person. There exists an upbeat, yet realistic approach to interaction with their charges. Staff reacts immediately to clients' needs as well as questions or needs family may have. If ever I need such care as they provide, I have no doubt that I would want to be at Oak River. Thanks to the following directly involved with my loved ones needs. Nurse-Ryan and Kristy. (And all your aides). P. T. - Tamara. Speech-Morgan. Dining-Arlene, (and those whose names I cannot recall). And lastly, every staff member who was in and out. FacilityIt is a large facility with 143 beds. This means it is a dynamic situation caring for all the clients. Given that, I found it to be more than acceptably clean. There are quite a few activities for those who care to participate. Visiting hours are 8-8. MealsMeals are tailored to each clients needs and are served in the dining area or in your room. Complimentary meals are available to visiting family members. Given this is a healthcare facility, do not expect 5 star meals. Meals are prepared in a healthful manner.

Hello I am Robert's wife Melanie. Robert spent an extensive time at Oak River quite a few years ago so when I found myself needing a place to recuperate I found myself wanting to return to Oak River to recover myself. I am only 47 and I am quite Sharp. I have been here for a little over a month. I'm very happy staying here. Just as when my husband was here I find myself in great hands. Perhaps the greatest part of being here is the staff. They are very loving and caring. This rehabilitation hospital is filled with people with wonderful hearts. They always put their patients first. Above money and above profits. They put us and our safety above all. They lovingly wash our feet and make sure that we are clean and healthy. When we push our call buttons they respond swiftly. We are never left are long periods of time.
