I want to share my story of working at Silverado The Huntington with you to warn you about this community. My job was to move families into this prestigious memory care community, my job title was family ambassador. Constantly The Huntington was referred to as the gold standard and prestigiouscommunity within the company which is why the justified charging over 10K a month. What I saw was far from that and made it morally wrong to move any senior into let alone charge over 100k a year for. The Huntington has been neglected for years (complete turnover in management , so you can disregard the reviews below because they are outdated) and you need to know what is going on because families cannot visit their loved ones at this time. Here is what I saw: Water damage throughout the community from leaking air conditioners all throughout the second floor and inside rooms, smells of urine fill the hallways outside of rooms 201-203, recently during COVID lockdown The Huntington moved dozen residents internally based on care levels. What they failed to tell families is they didnt clean any of the rooms they moved your loved ones to. One particular resident that was moved had personal belongings in it of another resident that passed away in the same room back in December of 2019(no one bothered to check)not to mention missing soap dispensers and toilet paper holder in that room. Residents are constantly sleeping heads down all throughout the community (with the exception of Nexus residents). I was terminated from the company due to not having any move ins during COVID. Meanwhile the same company moved in a surgeon from New York withCOVID into a sister community in Beverley hills. This move in lead to residents passing away and a nurse passing away at the community. Let these stories serve as a warning about where this company puts their priority. Its is not in the safety or your loved one, its about getting move ins during covid, despite what they say. On a positive note, the nurses & care staff and other front line staff do care immensely about the residents like myself which is why I write this. Silverado tells their family ambassadors to tell stories to help persuade families to move in. I hope my story paints a picture to help you make an educated decision if you are considering this community.

The administration at this Silverado and some staff changed in the Fall of 2019. My review is not current and covers the past administration, from Sep 2017 - Sep 2019. See more current reviews for more accurate evaluations.During my parents' stay, their health actually improved and they had a meaningful 2 years. The staff during the 2 years was outstanding. The caregivers were trained to calm an agitated resident, the nurses were experts in gently convincing reluctant residents to take their medication. The activities staff created genuine interactions with residents and interesting experiences. The laundry, maintenance and kitchen staff interacted with the residents. Despite substantial limitations (both cognitively and physically) my parents enjoyed their days. As a full disclosure, I hired additional 1-on-1 personal caregivers to support my parents as their needs changed. A huge thank you to the outstanding people who cared for my parents during their time at the Huntington, and to administrator Cheryl for creating a loving and supportive home for the residents.

I needed assistance FAST for a family that I was helping. Liliana and her amazing staff thrived under pressure and what could have been a not so good situation, turned into a positive new home for this wonderful man. They are experts when in crisis. Thank you!!
