I used to work here along with my three daughters Vantana Winds is a good place to be. all the med techs all the caregivers are good people all the residents are good so when it came time to put my mother-in-law somewhere she needed help in care with.we put her in Vantana Winds I no longer work there because I take care of my daughter at home but we had to have help with my mother-in-law and Vantana Winds is a very good place to be and she loves it there she has made new friends. She dont have to worry about anything. They are one big family there..

While my uncle was in the memory care unit (recently passed) the only nurse there who REALLY cared about all her residents and their well being is now gone. Regardless of what corp might say about her or anyone else if it isn't anything but upstanding they are full of it. She was the only one who really did her job and made sure the residents were truly cared for. Has the passion that we all look for to have in our loved ones corner when we are not able to be there. I am now having to try and get some of my uncles belongings back. Though they tell you make sure to put the name on EVERYTHING the staff DO NOT make sure that those items are returned to the rightful owners or they have more need for the items then the person who owned it. You can complain to the corp. office or even to the director yet they do nothing. I complained about the sink in my uncles room leaking shortly after I placed him, again months after and it was never fixed as it was still leaking when I went to pickup his belongings. (he was there a year and a half) Have employees who are alcoholics and still in the building with your loved ones when drunk. If you do decide to place your loved one here GET A NANNY cam and place them ALL OVER their room. Keep records of what you moved them in with (nothing expensive or has meaningful value. Keep those items in a safe place else where) and what is in their rooms every time you visit. Every conversation, record and make notes of every incident (get copies of the reports the facility HAS to write up.
