Terrible company to work for. Minimum wage. Minimal training. Horrendous Management. Illiterate and incompetent supervisors. Expect zero work/life balance. Workers are forced to work over 80+ hours a week including doctor visits for their patients. The patients that the caregivers are expected to care for range from many different types of backgrounds. They tend to mix SMI/DDD patients in the same house which is illegal. This company will be under investigation by Deparment of Labor soon. Some companies need to shut down for successful companies to arise.

If you were fired from this organization, fear not. Employers in the Show Low area have come to understand that firing individuals is a routine task for this agency and rarely take it seriously. Local employers know all too well that TLC does not treat employees equally. Some employees are allowed to constantly break company policies and make many mistakes, while others are fired for doing nothing wrong. TLC also does not always put their own disabled clients and residents (they are called 'consumers'. ) first at all times and in every situation. Management spends more time dealing with internal issues (and not doing that well), rather than spending the necessary time and funds to make things better for those who cannot speak for themselves. I really liked working with the residents, although the job itself in the group homes is really that of a glorified housekeeper. Yes, you assist those who are relatively independent but mostly it is cooking, cleaning, bathing, lots of paperwork and transporting the clients if you work during the day and sometimes even in the evening. I only gave TLC 1 star due the way management treats the employees. I have since moved to another state, but be warned. Working with management in this organization is less than ok. In fact, bizarre would be a good word.
