After touring many homes in our area, Chateaux Arcadia was our first choice for many reasons. BIg bright common areas open to the kitchen with comfy seating and bistro tables. Arcadia doors open to a courtyard full of gardenias and covered seating. Large private rooms with bathroom and small patio, green grass and trees. For us the light and tall ceilings and access to nature important. Very helpful and kind aides and management, plenty of fresh fruit and central location for us all. I do believe there is a suite for couples also. Theatre room, weight room, library, game room. Sounds like I am ready to move in! NOTHING compared. If you are needing a place to house a loved one who needs lots of care Chateaux Arcadia is a must see.,

Note: This is now The Chateaux Arcadia and is under new management since the older reviews were written. The highest compliment possible was given to Chateaux Arcadia by an ER nurse caring for my mom. Mom is a resident at Chateaux Arcadia. She recently experienced some chest pain and was transported to the ER. When my sister and I arrived, an ER nurse told us that she and the other nurses hoped to be just like my mom when they got to be her age. She went on to explain that many of the elderly patients admitted to the ER arrived in poor condition; smelly, unwashed, soiled depends, curling toe nails... you get the picture. Our mom, on the other hand, was clean, smelled good, had trimmed finger and toe nails, brushed hair and was obviously well cared for. The nurse's comments were unsolicited and she did not know what assisted living facility mom had been transported from.Mom was discharged and went back to Chateaux later that same day. The staff was genuinely delighted to see her back as were her friends there.

We recently took a very close look at Arcadia Estates and found Walt to be a kind, elderly gentleman. His care givers seemed to be very happy and the rooms were spacious. My mother has some special needs and in the final analysis, Arcadia Estates was not fully equipped to handle them. We had put down a deposit and as promised the check was not cashed and returned to us. In the process we sat in on dinner a couple of times with mom to observe etc. and found the facility to be well run and up to par for an assisted living/group home environment. Mark
