For all the mommas delivering at Basset MNU:This is our third birth and we have had our fair share of wonderful and horrible birth care.My husband and I went in on Wednesday to have our little girl checked on because we saw some symptoms going on with me and our girl - which didn't feel right. We prayed for God's favor going in that the staff would hear us and help us. (Previously we had been told at other places that we were concerned for no reason and they did not take us seriously.) Coming into MNU they heard all of our concerns about our daughter and even about our birth experience. They monitored our girl, checked our health and addressed all the concerns we had. I was very nervous that I would get into delivery and my care team would not hear me or care for me well (having a previously traumatic birth). We voiced having a medical issue to consider up front, it made us nervous that I would not get to the hospital with enough time. Major Fabian and Nurse Garrison were so understanding, telling me to come in any time even if it is just because of a weird feeling. Then with our medical concern, we were able to schedule an induction for Saturday morning. Fast forward to Friday night, my water spontaneously broke. Our team treated us like straight up family - not like a patient to care for. They took such good care of us each step of the way and honored our wishes above and beyond what we hoped for. Each one listened to us and allowed me to labor the way that I needed. I was able to labor in peace and safety and be cared for in a way I never knew was possible, especially in a military hospital setting. We GOT the natural unmedicated birth we hoped for with FULL support and no resistance from anyone(which was a big concern) The ladies on our team (Nurse Reyna, Nurse Brittany and Major Fabian) will forever be in our heart and feel like family. Bassett MNU was literally like delivering at a birth center with family with the added comfort of knowing you have medical care if needed. This experience gives me an incredible amount of hope going forward with military health care personnel. We are hoping to stay in touch with these ladies going forward.

Horrible wait time. Took my daughter to the er. Might as well have gone to med school myself by the time she was seen I wouldve completed 8 years of school. This place is too slow. Go somewhere else for your kids sake.

Dissatisfied, with Family Practice. The lack of communication that family practice doctors and their respective teams, have with a new patient. Nobody seems to know anything the other has done, which causes unnecessary stress. The patient shouldn't have to be conversing with the provider, in the 'he said, she said' scenario. I'm here as a new patient, if family practice facilitated the opportunity for medical teams to offer quality patient care, then as a new patient, it's missed the mark, and certainly not achieving the goal!
