(This post is for the independent living buildings.) FOR ANYONE WITH RESPIRATORY Problems or any health ISSUES - LISTEN UP- GORDON OAKS FOR SOME REASON ALLOWS RESIDENTS to SMOKE CIGARETTES IN THE A & B BUILDINGS RECENTLY- WHICH IS A HEALTH & SAFETY HAZARD FOR OTHER RESIDENTS AND CAREGIVERS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. EVER. They overcharge their residents in my opinion as well. Find another place or Gordon Oaks should just become more considerate. However, in the nursing home side- some of the staff nurses and office/maintenance staff are friendly- but overall whoever owns the independent living place- sucks. Dear owner: Don't LET Residents or anyone to SMOKE IN THE BUILDINGS or 'apartments' AT ALL.. IF the owners can mAke it 100% smoke-free indoors- THEN maybe I'll alter this post.
