This place is not some where you would want to keep your loved one . They have left residents wet all through the night . They cover up when a resident is sick. I have seen many things in this facility . For the some of the employees are very nice . But the management is no good they treat staff poorly . They have no activities for the residents, even tho they make calandras saying they do . The staff complain about the residents and even make comments in front of the residents about how hard they are to take care of . I have seen residents that was very sick be denied the right to go to the hospital which of they had went they would not have passed like they did. Some that they waited to long to send after many reports that they needed to go . Once they went they all came back on hospice care . There are some they just try to remove simply cause the family members had complained. If your going to put your family here I would highly suggest you rethink it . The staff plays on Facebook while they are suppose to be caring for the residents. No one does activities with the residents cause they are too busy with rumors and drama or simply out side smoking or on their phones . The people they have passing out meds are not trained before giving meds .

Mary is a very rude manager and to me honestly this place doesnt get any good reviews from me there is some things I think they could change and I feel there is some privacy rules that needs to be discussed with the employees before they start!!!!! Mary......just fired my mother who is an amazing worker and who loves her job and wouldnt hurt a fly on the wall all because she felt threatened by my mother who is a good worker:) my mom doesnt deserve to be treated the way Mary treated her.

My Mother recently became aResident at Serenity Place Assisted Living and Memory Care Facility in Ft. Payne, Alabama. I cannot say enough positive things about this assisted living facility! They have been wonderful. So helpful in moving and making the transition to a new home for my mother, who is 95 years old. Angie Tate, administrator was absolutely wonderful and supportive and helping us make the move for our mother and to make it a seamless and joyful experience. The staff work tirelessly to help you in every way. Mr. Tate is the maintenance and building Manager and he was absolutely wonderful in helping us hang pictures and installed new air conditioning unit, helped us move in and was extremely helpful in every way possible!Living Transitions for anyone can be trying but we made strong effort To be sure everything in our mothers apartment was exactly as it had been in her previous facility. They made it so much easier for us and for her.She immediately felt right at home as if she had been there for a long time.I am eternally grateful to have people who love senior citizens and who are there to care, help, support, and love them in a home away from home.My mother has some dementia but she saw two letters on the wall a S and a P as part of the decoration and she said what does that mean? I said what do you think it means Mom? She said I think it means SPECIAL PEOPLE! I couldn't have said it better myself. The people they serve are truly Special People as senior citizens who deserve the best care possible in their later years. To me it also meant the Special People who are taking care of them at Serenity Place. They worked tirelessly to see that everything is taken care of to serve the Seniors in their care. I live out of state but I travel back as often as possible and check on my mother by phone often and therefore I need a place that I am assured and confident that my mother will have the best care while I am gone until I return. It is obvious their love of people and the hours they work tirelessly to provide loving, caring, professional, services to the beautiful people they take care of.May God bless this facility greatly in the love and the caring it gives to those who need their help the most! Thank you so much for all you are doing for our family, our mother, and the community. Blessings!!Paula WhitakerHouston, Texas.
