Marmet Center

Not recommended for anyone! This place needs to be shut down. I will be filing a complaint. This place has neglected my daddy. It took 3 days of us calling and complaining that we couldn't call his room, phone was unplugged from the way. Tvs are not provided, so a tv was taken there. No one installed it, it was out into a closet until maintenance was available. Food was taken to him and left somewhere, 4 hours later he still hadn't gotten his food. When asked if physical therapy had evaluated him, was told no they had not had time yet. My daddy has laid there in the same position since 6/24/20 and no one in that place even cares. When you finally get someone to answer the phone they are very rude, and the only answer you get is 'I'll have an aide check on him' no calls have been returned, the administrator will not answer or return calls. So finally we had him transported home to make sure he's cared for. This place is a joke and needs to be shut down!

My mom has been at the Marmet Center for going on three years now. Since she arrived, she has had wonderful care. The staff are very intuitive to her needs. She doesn't get up very much, and she has not had one bed sore or any tissue/skin issues since she has been there. More importantly, since the Covid-19 pandemic, the administration and staff at Marmet have kept in touch with their patient's families on a daily and weekly basis. They have let us know any time they have tested a worker or resident and have followed up on the results of the testing. Even the smallest of symptoms have been assessed and a patient has been tested. They have done a tremendous job in keeping the facility clean and I believe this has led to the minimal amount of residents and staff that have tested positive. They have been wonderful when we've brought our mom things that she needs and they make sure she gets them. I cannot say enough about the current administration and staff right now at Marmet Health Center. They are great, hard working individuals who truly care about the residents and for that I am greatly appreciative.
