What a terrific group of people! I wish that I could do more. But, I'm so thankful for all of the staff that work there and how much they seem to care about what they do.

I have been providing services to The Cottages at Marysville for many years now. I have to say that their excellence is only exceeded by their compassion. From the top down the team is a class act full of committed professionals. Words like kindness, patience, altruism, helpfulness, family and understanding come to mind when I think of the way all the staff interacts with all the residents. I highly recommend The Cottages at Marysville when it comes time for when you and your loved ones are in need of a safe, loving, clean and compassionate place .

As Executive Director I read some of these reviews and am totally amazed. IF we did treat our residents in the manner that this 'gentleman' below was stating, we would be so thoroughly investigated and shut down by the state. There are rules and regulations that the state imposes and they are VERY strict and they are very thorough on making sure we abide by them as a long term care community. This includes our dietary program. This man says that our staff barely speaks English. This is America buddy, we have wonderful people caregivers included and they speak English quite well. Perfectly, no. Only the ignorant expect the whole world to speak English instead of us trying to get along and learn from each other. Here is what I do know about our community. Our residents are our first concern. If I have a caregiver that has shown disrespect, or any type of abuse, theyre gone. Get it H? I will not stand for that.If we have a potential new resident, by law and out of respect for all residents, we do an assessment to make sure we can provide proper care. If we feel the resident is not appropriate for our community due to unusual behaviors or high level of care, as much as it hurts, I have to inform the family that we cannot accept their loved one. THIS IS PART OF OUR JOB!Our staff here is loving, attentive, and compassionate. If anyone working here is anything but, they are gone. Plain, and simple. What you are reading are from disgruntled FORMER employees, or family members that are in denial about their loved ones illness. I understand the latter. I cared for my grandmother, and aunt who had horrible dementia. I was in denial at times as well. You as the general public are more than welcome to ask the state for our survey records, and past complaints. You will find absolutely nothing due to lack of care, not supplying a happy and healthy atmosphere, or anything major. Just some minor stuff.Better yet, drop in any time. We have no specific visiting hours and if you do come over, walk around and speak to the families and residents. If you are a family looking for a place for a loved one, my heart is with you. This is a very difficult time for everyone concerned. My name is Jeff Roberts and I welcome you to contact me at anytime.
