The support and caring that my wife received there following her stroke was absolutely outstanding. The facilities were clean, the nursing staff was always helpful, and the therapy staff went out of their way to help and encourage my wife.

This was my 2nd stay at York. I chose York because of the physical therapy team. They did not disappoint. However, the rest of my stay was a big disappointment. While some of the staff was caring, too many of them didn't care. Add to that I was moved twice. Final roomdidn't even have a shower! They were slow responding to my call bell. The physical therapists were wonderful and had me walking after 4 years in bed. Don't think I'll request them again.

My mom and I visited the facility, loved it and loved the people- even spoke with PT to ensure that my mom's kind of surgery and the external fixator she was going to have post-surgery they would be able to take care of. They ensured us they could take care of it, we reserved the room and had scheduled transport from the hospital, and the DAY of, that she was to be transported to the rehab facility, they denied her due to a skin graft, which the rehab facility would not have to do ANYTHING with- the Dr. would do that once a week in Virginia Beach. Additionally, I couldn't even get Mattie to call me back to personally let me know and to talk to me. I am so disappointed and now I am stuck last minute trying to figure out where my mom can be transferred. So sad...

Everyone at York was so caring and helpful. There was always someone able to and willing to help. The staff is so nice and makes you feel welcomed.
