My daughter came home worse than when she left. She was bullied repeatedly, after it had been brought to there attention. She was kicked and scratched repeatedly by other children and staff did nothing to stop these incidents from happening. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone with a troubled child. This facility has been under several investigations. It needs to be shut down!!

I worked at the VA Lignum Village for many year, at first as child care supervisor. Then in reception and Human resources. I loved my job! And I truly miss it. I believe that children are in wonderful caring hands here. The therapeutic programs were amazing. How many residential programs have horseback riding, a gym a swimming pool... PLUS nature! AND people who want to help THEM HEAL. ( nursing, therapist!! awesome!)These Children grew in size and spirit every day while in this village. A village of people who cared for them. 100%

I worked at childhelp for one year and really enjoyed the experience. Had I not run into child care issues for my own children I would still be there.
