Currently the kitchen staff are sending out food that many of the residents are unhappy with, ie. of poor quality. On Sunday, which was prime rib day, they ran out of prime rib by 12.15. Lunch starts at 11.30! Food should not be running out after only 45 minutes!!! There was only one entree menu option today, of stuffed peppers, whereas usually there are two. This resulted in many residents choosing 'other' items (sandwiches, burger, hot dog, chicken tenders) which added to the time taken to receive food. However, even with the standard two entree menu choices, the wait time for food is reported by residents to average one and a half hours from time of sitting every day this week. These residents pay a lot of money per meal and this is disgraceful. The waitstaff are getting all of the complaints and this is not their fault as they do a good job.

Love Verena Retirement. Lots of quality activities, meals and quarters. Staff out standing. Residence members great. Like a family and home. High caliber residents pull together.
