I want to thank all the staff at Pleasant Manor in Waxahachie for taking such good care of my mom for the last year and a half. I was up there a lot visiting my mom and loved the way each patient was treated in an individual manner. They take into account the individual personalities of the patients and handle them accordingly to what is best for each one. There is no one size fits all here. No nursing home is perfect and the two minor complaints I had were addressed and handled immediately and I was thanked for bringing it to their attention. Can't beat that!

While I believe that the staff tries to do what they can, ultimately I dont believe that there are enough individuals available for the amount of care patients need. Had we done our research in advance and been aware that this location is on a watch list of top handful of worst facilities out of 20 in this market, we would have went elsewhere. Do your research, I wish we had. Thousands of dollars of income are required from residents though the quality of care doesnt equate the inbound funds. *92-94% need transfer assistance as well as toileting *Almost 47% have Dementia *77% are confined to wheelchair or bed There are no statistics representative of those that cant feed themselves. How can our limited number of caregivers be expected to tend to multiple individuals that have almost 100% of needs required?

My mom was here as a long term care patient and I can not speak highly enough about this facility. The people at the nursing home cared for my mom as if they were her own family. I never had to worry if she was being taken care of when I left from a visit. My mother has since passed away and I would still recommend Pleasant Manor to friends or family.

I truly enjoyed the activities under the direct of Rosanna Wooldridge. She made the days wonderful for the other residents as well as for me. I think she is the best one there for that position.
