Initially both of my parents were residents in the memory care unit at Arbor House. The Entire staff at Arbor House made the transition to the home seamless even though we were quite unorganized and unprepared. In many ways I am sure we were a major pain in their side, they remained patient, professional and flexible. We eventually removed my father because he was not quite in need of the care they offered in memory care unit and he reused assisted living. My mother passed away of 2/15/2020 at the Arbor House with Alzheimer's. The last months of her life were wonderful for her with the care she received. Even in the late stages of the disease the staff kept her active in their programs. She would make table dressings, do bowling and sway with the music whenever Elvis was on! The night she passed one of the staff members knowing she was in the end stages of life sat and held her hand so she was not alone when she did pass... The gratitude I feel in my heart is not definable. When I arrived at the facility EVERY staff member made point to stop whatever they were doing and offer their thoughts about my mom and offer their condolences. She had only been there a short time but each had a kind word to say about her. The staff also showed reverence and some even prayed with us as she was taken out of the building. The funeral was local and I cannot express the gratitude when 3 top staff members attended the services. They truly cared for my mom.My father is now progressing to the need for assisted living and I am praying Arbor House will have space for him. I am hoping he too can receive the outstanding care my mother did in making her last days happy! I do not know if Arbor House is the best in Texas but they sure rank at the top for our family!

Hats off t Arbor House. If you're looking for a memory care facility that understands how to take care of residents this is the best place in Waco. My mother has been here for the last 8 months. She seems happy and has shown positive progress in many areas she was declining. Thank you Arbor House.

My mom lived here for over a year and she loved it here. I was amazed at all the various functions they had, keeping her physically and mentally active. Everyone here, from the director to the nurse to the caretakers are so friendly and loving! They took such good care of my mom through her last days. The activities director is amazing and so involved in making all the residents happy. I do highly recommend Arbor House!

My Mom has been at the Arbor House for almost 3 years. She did start on the Assisted Living side which was wonderful but we were aware of her Alzheimer's diagnosis and she soon moved to the Memory Care side. The AL living side is wonderful, nice size rooms with kitchenettes and a separate bedroom. The entry and AL dining side is beautifully decorated and the sky lights through out the facility making it seem grand and spacious. The Memory Care side is behind a locked door for their safety. No place is perfect but I have spent a lot of time with the caregivers while visiting my mom, they are loving, caring, helpful and they have a great time interacting with them through the day with Bingo, bean bag toss, bowling, nail care, trivia, happy hour and more.Carrie, the Director, is first class. She is professional, caring, and available whenever I have a questions or concern. Along with the Director of Nursing, Kristi, both are available whenever a need arises. If you are looking for a place for one of your parents, START HERE. You will be impressed.

My brother and I were fortunate to find Arbor House Waco when searching for a new home for Mom after her heart attack. It is what we needed assistive living and memory care. Mom was in Assisted Living for two years and now in Arbor Gardens. It is important for Mom to have her personal belongings around her so her apartment is homey and comfortable making it a home for us too when we visit.Caregivers are attentive, becoming friends that provide the care and attention she needs with aging in a loving atmosphere. Communication is important for Moms needs the receptionist, director of nursing and the executive director are always available even by texting! Blessings to you all for making Moms life easier for her and her family. Shirley Cuff, daughter of a loving Mother
