Both my grandma and grandpa, on separate occasions, were short term rehab residents at this facility and they had nothing but good things to say about it. My grandma was there for rehab following heart surgery and absolutely loved the activities available daily, she would often forgo visits with my mom so that she wouldn't miss the evening socials and still asks about going back to visit some of the ladies she became friends with during her stay. My grandpa, there for rehab following an awful episode of gout exacerbation, accredits the therapy department with helping to restore his walking ability to its prior function. He admitted in a wheelchair and discharged walking, nothing short of amazing. Going into a nursing facility can be nerve-wracking for anyone but the staff there was caring and patient and help put both my grandparents mind at ease. Forever thankful for them.

I would like to post that Marlandwood is the best Nursing Facility I've encountered during the process 18+ plus ago while looking for a place to care for my mother. From the day we had a tour of the facility. They helped me the whole way with the months of paperwork in getting my mother settled. We've always felt respected and that they were always there to talk to. Small problems may have came up but it was smoothly and swiftly taken care of. Any time something arises either my mother or myself goes to talk to someone and a resolution was in place. Everyone has been sweet, kind & caring. They are very patient. I have felt from the beginning my mother is in good hands at Marlandwood and the staff. Everyone is easy to talk to. They have activites that my mother has always enjoyed. If something has happened they call me right away. The other patients seem happy and my mother enjoys the company of friends. I've discussed with my mother her care and she stated that doesn't feel like a nuisance to the nurses. Very pleased with the care she received. (all places may have a hiccup but happy with the choice made in Marlandwood for my mother's care) THANK YOU

My dad has been in Marlandwood east for over 2years. I love it and he loves it as well. Honestly I was a little apprehensive. After the first care plan meeting, myself, the case worker and other staff members collaborated about the care and needs of my dad. The staff is very knowledgeable about his needs mentally and physically. In addition, from the CNA'S,nurses, receptionist, business office, case worker, PT, dietary and environmental services are all very professional and pleasant. I'm personally in the facility 3 to 4 times a week and I witness the staff providing outstanding care for the residents daily. In addition, I love the fact that the facility provide activities to all the residents such as bingo, dominoes, and other entertainment. In which my dad loves to play dominoes. The activity director Ruby is awesome. Furthermore, they have church services during the week and on Sunday's. To me this is personal due to the fact tha most of the residents cannot attend their personal church. Lastly, I can't brag enough about the DON Maxi. I have witnessed her taking residents for toileting or just giving them a push to the dining room. I notice her door to is always open. To me that tells a lot, meaning she's there for everyone residents, staff and family members concerns. I definitely recommend this facility for your loved ones. Being a nurse myself, I personally know the warmth, pride and joy this facility provides.
