The Village At Gleannloch Farms

I live at The Village in Independent and we have had EXCELLENT care during all of this COVID virus trauma. We get three meals a day of excellent food delivered to our door daily and the variety is amazing. We have an excellent chef who oversees all of it personally and had everything running efficiently the next day! The staff is friendly, courteous, and so helpful for all your needs. Always upbeat and smiling! Before the virus, we had tons of stuff to do, but limited by law at this time. Soon as it's over, you can be sure our capable activity director will have us up and running again. And last but not least, we have lovely friends and neighbors to cheer us on at all times!

My husband and I have lived in our very nice cottage with double garage for over 8 years. We love the friendly folks here, the smiling staff and all the activities available. Since the lockdown, each day we choose from a menu the three meals we would like delivered to our door on the next day. The food is great, the kitchen staff is working so hard. We are near our church, our family and friends-often invite them to the dining room for dinner. This place is a blessing to many! We are thankful!

Lots of great things to do everyday. Fun people, wonderful caring staff. A place to flourish. Come join us !!

The first time my Mom was in this facility (February 2020), we had a good experience. This time around (May/June 2020), it has been horrendous. The staff has my mother having bowel movements in her brief, which she doesn't do at home. On this specific day, my Mom had a bowel movement in the morning, before PT got there to work with her. After her therapy, she remained in a dirty brief all day, until the 2nd shift aide arrived, who found her in that condition. The person who found her like that was surprised, and told my mom that the feces had been on her for so long that it was dry. There have been other incidents, as well, related to her cleanliness, and therapy, or lack thereof. Very disappointed.

My father is a resident in skilled nursing at The Village at Gleannloch Farms. Our experience with all the staff so far has been nothing less than exceptional. I contacted the facility about admissions on a Saturday because we were in somewhat of an emergency situation, and Liz returned my call at 8:30 on the following Sunday morning! She had all the paperwork completed for admission before my father was even discharged from the hospital. It was a seamless experience. Since becoming a resident, everyone I have had contact with (the medical social worker, director of nursing, director of rehab, nurse and care staff, skilled nursing activities director, geriatric psychologist) has been so helpful, kind, and patient. Even individuals working at reception and in maintenance have been helpful! From my fathers perspective, food is a big deal. Fortunately, the executive chef at the facility provides large, healthy portions of quality food and a good menu. My father looks forward to meals here thank goodness. I am relieved that we have a facility where I know my father is getting good care.
