Horrible facility! does not take care of the residents as advertised! my aunt stayed there for one week and that was enough for her! the nurses were very rude and acted inconvenienced, they did not bathe her when they said they would, and they withheld her medication and cpap machine from the hospital in ft worth when her daughter decided to transfer her! shame on this facility for just wanting to fill rooms to meet there census! will be reporting to the better business bureau and the state so they can come in and inspect the facility!

I live out of state and came down to San Antonio to visit family. I called Homestead of Sherman to notify them that my sister and I were going to drive up to visit our grandmother. The lady that answered the phone was extremely rude from the moment she answered the call. She discussed my grandmother with another employee while I was on the phone stating, 'didn't ______ go out?' She would not tell me anything and was extremely rude and condescending. I asked my dad to call to see if they would provide information to her son. He said they hung up on him.

VERY short staffed after 5pm. 3 room assist lights in the hall and not one employee to be found at 7 pm!

They don't even deserve 1 star and the same goes for Homestead of Denison. Don't bring your loved ones here unless you want them to die! The staff here does not take proper care of their residents.

Wonderful and helpful staff. The residents are also very friendly and happy overall. I read the prior reports on the facility and as a Registered Nurse with over 20 years experience this facility is about as good as it gets. The facility was just inspected by the state and received NO deficiencies...this is rare find. The times I have been to the facility they seem well staffed.
