Wish we could TRULY express our deep gratitude to these folks- this care home was a warm & loving 'SAFE HAVEN' in every way possible for our family member. We searched & searched in the effort to find a REAL HOME, and we will be FOREVER grateful to have found Debora & Jarvis. (San Antonio Senior Living) Their genuine love & concern not only for our family member, but also for each resident in their home was truly Christlike, so tender, so joyful, so enriching. The home is kept very clean & tidy, Jarvis was awesome about facilitating outdoor time for residents, walks around the safe neighborhood, etc. Debora so very conscientious about medication & vitamin needs. Food was carefully, thoughtfully prepared. Meals 3 x each day were happy memories for ALL as Jarvis & Debora would serve the food and then sit with their residents 'family style', praying with them, eating with them and visiting together in such uplifting ways! We were so grateful to find a place that was not filled with lifeless faces, and endless rooms of residents 'lost' in their televisions all day long, hoping to just 'pass away' as soon as possible. Not at all- THIS home has + - 4 residents, and there was a feeling of serenity, with calm peaceful music playing, and patient, kind adult caregivers...but also balanced beautifully with 'real live' family living, complete with the delightful antics of their precious little daughter. She has been carefully taught and lead to interact with each resident kindly, and yet in her simple childlike ways and dilemmas, she keeps the entire household entertained and laughing as she learns & grows right before their eyes! Again, NO way to express what a beautiful place of hope and happiness this was for our family member. Forever, FOREVER grateful !

Jarvis and Deborah are incredible people and fantastic caregivers. They were willing and able to modify and configure their services to meet our needs in a very individualized manner. Our entire family has been blessed by their compassion and skill and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a safe and genuine place for themselves or loved one. Their home is a sanctuary, so it would not be a match for a resident who is not respectful or considerate in return, but anyone who is kind and wants to contribute to their haven would find peace and careful care in return. The home is in a very safe neighborhood in a very accessible area of San Antonio not too far from the Medical Center and all other necessities.

This was home was my miracle. I am in my 30s and after a significant hospital stay, I had the options of moving into a home for the elderly or a specialized rehabilitation center (that cost an arm and a leg). Neither fit me, but thankfully, Lydia Sweeney connected us with this medical foster home run by Debora and Jarvis Termure (San Antonio Senior Living).I lived here for a year. What can I say, but that this was the most perfect place for me? Debora and Jarvis obviously feel called to serve in this way and their help for me and the other three residents there was above and beyond their basic duties. The moment you walk into their home you feel the peace and love of a real home. This couple and their little daughter glow with the light of Jesus Christ. Their home is full of the spirit and they emulate His example in little, unobtrusive ways everyday. There is such a vibrant, international feel in this home! Debora is from Brazil, Jarvis is from Australia / Romania. Both speak English perfectly. They have two assistant caregivers from Romania and Hungary. The other residents here were also from diverse / international backgrounds. As a result, there was often a lot of different kinds of foods and different languages in any given day. :) The home itself has rooms for four residents. Each room has a bed, closet, table, chair and TV (if desired). They have a large living room and kitchen area that is open and welcoming. We ate meals together everyday. The back and front porches have places to sit under trees and they keep the outside wonderfully tidy and clean. They have a fire pit which we roasted marshmallows on and a barbecue that Jarvis cooks on 1-2 times per week.Often an old folks home has a stagnant feel. This place was the exact opposite! Between the languages, diversity, faith, and their little ADORABLE daughter, it was a vibrant home to live in.It is difficult to adequately describe how perfect it was for me, but this kind of medical foster care center was a perfect match. Thank you Debora and Jarvis for giving me a home while I recovered. You are two angels on earth.
