Would not recommend this place to anyone. Put my husband there for rehabilitation on Tuesday and Wednesday by noon I was pulling him out. To start with Tuesday evening when I got there met with the nurse who I explained things to her about his condition and she advised she was not told all that and seem aggravated when she learned about his issues. Told me she would be in his room in few minutes well it got to be 8 pm and visiting hours was over I never seen her. I left his medicine with the gentlemen I was told to and at ten oclock that evening I got a call wanting to know where his meds was and that he fell out of the bed was told he was not hurt and they would lower the bed and put fall mats down. I return the next day on my lunch break only to find no fall mats and bed not lowered but that dont even top it. The nurse on duty advises me he did not have his seizure medicine cause I did not bring it I said oh hell no I sure did so where is his medicine she advised she did not know. She got me his bag of medicine so I could look for myself and in the mean time she started opening drawers well about fourth drawer down there was his bottle of pills so that is strike number two so I go back to his room and noticed they had taken blood from his left arm after being told no blood pressure or blood drawn from left arm and right leg due to blood clots, not only was they told there was a sign on the wall and I left a note on his bedside stand which I found had been thrown in the trash. So at that time I did what was best for my husband cause I did not need him having any set backs after just getting out of the hospital after two months. One other thing that upsets me is I had to pay up front which I did and never batted an eye about it but now that Im needing my money returned to me it sounds like it could be a couple of months before its returned to me I am not rich and really need the money to get him help else where.

My husband Buddy is a resident in this facility. He was moved from a small group home where he had been for six years. I was a little nervous; however, the transition was excellent because of the helpfulness of the staff. He is well cared for and contented. I am also contented; I have found The Meadows to be a welcoming, friendly home for him. I go daily and am always so thankful for this place.

It's a nice home, very pretty. However it's August and my wife's room has been without air conditioning for over a week. Also, about half of the nurses aides that are there, I would have a hard time thinking of anything nice to say about them.

Never again! It's a long story but this place should be avoided at all cost! If you love your family member, stay away!!!!!!!!I would give this place zero stars if it were possible.Overall a negative experience. I put my 93 year old grandmother in this facility for a six week respite period. She has Alzheimer's but was physically healthy and strong when I put her in. During that time, their doctor came in and changed her meds without my permission. He took my grandmother off her appetite pill with no explanation causing her to lose over 12 pounds. She was 5 foot and 126 pounds when she went in. This caused her health to weaken and she was frail and unstable when I brought her home. I told the head nurse of my assessment, but she said that she thought my grandmother was fine. Her regular doctor disagreed. Furthermore, her clothes were in the laundry when I went to pick her up. I tried to pick the clothes up two more times but was unable despite being told they would be waiting for me at the nursing station. I asked for a call back about the laundry (which is clearly labeled with her first and last name) but never received one. I called today and was told that they would have to check to see if her clothes were even still at the facility. In addition, it seems that my grandmother was taken to the emergency room for a fall. There was no phone call to me about this. I only found out when I received a bill from the hospital. I also left my mother's phone number, but there was no record of my mother's number on my grandmother's forms. Furthermore, the nurse did not include all of my grandmother's meds when they sent her home with me so I had to go back to get the meds. And they did not give my grandmother her daily vitamins and calcium. Lastly, I don't think they bathed my grandmother. She was dirty and stinky when I picked her up. Shameful and horrible!!!
