Second Update: A lot has happened since I wrote my original review and the first update. The director I wrote about (Vanessa) got fired shortly after I wrote that review. Since then we have had the former clinical director promoted to director of the facility. She was a good clinical director. However, in my opinion, she does not make a good overall director of the facility. We have had numerous issues that I will not go into here, but my biggest concern is resident safety. Today I learned that the only licensed nurse, who is the current clinical director, is quitting. This really concerns me a great deal!! I also found out that the facility has been put up for sale. So now there is really no sense in complaining to the higher ups about anything. Senior Capital Living doesn't really care what happens here anymore, or so it seems, since they technically have one foot out the door. I can only hope and pray that someone who really cares about seniors and their families will purchase this business and run it with honor, dignity, and safety like our senior family members deserve.Update: I was angry when I wrote my first review, which is not a good thing. I am pleased to say that I have met with the new director of the Good Place. Vanessa was very kind and fair. She listened to my complaints and followed through with staff issues. They now have a full time maintenance man and a CDL staff member that can drive the van. Vanessa is a positive influence and has lifted the spirits of my family members. I feel like she is doing everything she can to improve the climate of the facility. I am looking forward to seeing things continue to turn around for the better. I know under Vanessa's leadership they will. When I moved my mom and brother there in 2016 I was very pleased and they were happy. Things have gone downhill in the last four months. The director has left, they no longer have a maintenance person, and the activities director has been on medical leave for several months. As far as I know they don't have any one with a CDL that can drive the residents bus. They have a very difficult time keeping a cook and the food has really gotten bad. Weekend food is the worst. One of the reasons I chose this facility was because they had low employee turnover and the staff was like an extended family. The climate is no longer like this. I am still trying to decide what to do.

My mother started here for many months. The food was not great. We had to bring food into her from home to coax her to eat. It was infected with cockroaches and one night she needed help due to a fall, she rang her provided emergency buzzer repeatedly with no response. In the ends my 90+ year old mother crawled across the floor with a broken hand to reach her cell phone and called me. I then called the staff and told then they'd better get to her room asap and I was on my way. I was furious. They were oblivious pepper to my call. And they didn't have a clue what to do. Needless to say we moved her out of that place as soon as her rehab was done. We only went back to collect her belongings. Terrible place. Their name couldn't be a bigger lie. Half the time me Mom was there, they had no oversight. Management has left. Wouldn't recommend this to any one.

My Mother in Law is currently staying and we are very pleased with the staff, the level of care and the dietary as well as medical distribution by staff to all patients.

I brought my Mom and Uncle to visit and have Lunch. The food was very good! Better than that, the facility is very comfortable and inviting and their staff is outstanding. The most notable part of our visit was that the vast majority of people living there were happy, and they truly enjoyed each other's company. It has made our decision to move Mom and Uncle to Assisted Living FAR easier because we know they are going to have a very high level of care!
