My father was in the Pleasant Springs Nursing Home for nearly four months, in the final stages of Alzheimer's before he died. It's hard to say enough good things about the staff there and their tender care of him during the most difficult, trying time of his life. They aren't perfect, but neither are my husband and me. However, we were there daily, seeing how they went out of the way to see that he was as comfortable as possible and got what he (and we) needed. Many times, his RNs sat down to talk to me and explain what was going on with him. Night shift nurses sat in his room with him during breathing treatments just to give him company. CNAs, who are on the front lines of care, fed him, changed him, and tried to be sure he was as well as could be and put up with him during his worst times, when things got really bad. The day he choked on his lunch his nurse went into action immediately, and she and Dr. Latortue, who happened to be in the building, got the food back up and got him breathing normally again. Everyone was very friendly to him and to us, going out of their way to speak to him when he sat in his wheelchair in the halls. When I say everyone, I include the maintenance staff, the housekeeping staff, the kitchen staff... and on and on. It was altogether a good experience. I would recommend Pleasant Springs to anyone who asks me.

My grandmother was at Pleasant Springs for 8-10 weeks for skilled nursing care and rehab. The staff were very professional, caring and compassionate while providing care. The nurses were wonderful during a trying time and she was able to successfully rehab home which met her number one goal.

My husband rehabilitated a complete knee replacement. It was very successful. The staff was great. I would recommend this facility.
