Gardens of Mabank Senior Apartments

Ive been calling and leaving multiple messages marked urgent since 2:30 this afternoon (its Thursday). Im 70 years old and not in the best of health and I have no ac. Its now 9:30 pm. The office message says its an emergency if its 80 degrees outside. Its 93 outside and 80 inside. The office manager got a message to me through a neighbor that she asked to go around the neighborhood to find out who was calling because they cant even get into their own phone system. Manager said she talked to Kim, Regional District Manager for Alpha Barnes and they not only said a repair tonight wasnt possible, but they wont reimburse me for a hotel room. My shower head needed replacement and it took a month to get that fixed because there is no full time employee that works here - including the management office. This is a totally unacceptable way to run a property management company. I left a 1 star review and it automatically switches to 5. Go figure

I Lived @ The Gardens for 3 Years. My Parents Lived across the street from me for 2. They got sent to a Nursing Home THEY GOT SUED I got Married & was told that I no longer qualified I GOT SUED The Rent went up each Year My income did not change ! A Positive was the Location being close to town. Negative Being in Kaufman County messes with GOBUS & STAR TRANSIT Service

Very friendly staff. Very helpful and informative. Extremely clean grounds and units are very spacious.

My mother moved out recently and she had paid a pet deposit and rent deposit and they did everything possible to keep almost the entire deposit plus she had her dog about 2-3 days after she moved in and was told she couldn't get her pet deposit back until she moved out. So she basically lost her pet deposit and only had it 2-3 days. Don't move in you will not get your deposit back if you ever move out. Plus they say the rent is controlled by the government and that is a lie. The manager offered to keep the rent the same if my mother would stay. My mother is on a fixed income and they try to take a persons entire income.
