My husband has been at Sparks Assisted Living for three years. The staff is very good and it is comforting to know that the people responsible for caring for him truly care ABOUT him. I like that it is a small facility -- 11 residents -- with a cozy atmosphere, so the residents get more personalized attention than in a large facility. The staff is very good at taking care of any special dietary needs and my husband really enjoys the food.Michael Sparks, the owner, is an RN and he is very proactive. He stays on top of any medical changes and keeps me informed. He is also very prompt answering phone calls and texts. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his job and has a really good relationship with the residents. He understands what a difficult decision it is to move a loved one to assisted living and he makes the transition very easy. I highly recommend Sparks Assisted Living to anyone who is looking for a facility for their loved one.

I am so happy to have found Sparks Assisted Living. I have such peace of mind regarding the care my 85 year old step-mom receives. I only wish I had found it sooner! Thank you Michael and staff for going above and beyond and putting your residents' families minds and hearts at ease.

My dad was at a large assisted living before he got worse and needed more care. Moving him was the last thing we wanted, but now he has a much higher level of care for not much more money since this is a residential group home. Sparks is like your favorite mom and pop shop in your hometown. They know the residents very well. There is no nickle and diming them for every little service. There are not tons of policies, but they are flexible and open minded with the residents' best interest in mind. The owner is very hands-on, so you get much better customer service. He is great with the elderly since he is patient and caring. He is not in this for the money. He is very generous with his time and resources. He returns calls and texts immediately. That is so unusual and refreshing. He is a leader who takes initiative; you don't have to point out that your loved one needs a haircut, etc.I just wish that he could work 24/7 since naturally his staff are not as awesome as the owner himself. The house is very clean. I am even comfortable using the bathroom myself when I visit.I hope always to have my elderly loved ones in caring, small group homes like Sparks.

Our whole family is extremely happy with the great care our dad receives. We highly recommend Sparks Assisted Living.

Finally, an assisted living facility that takes into account he human factor of elder care. Sparks Assisted Living is a place like no other, offering a loving, nurturing, and amazingly healthy environment for those needing this kind of care. Michael Sparks is a saint who saw a need for humane elder care through his work as an RN. Somehow, he succumbed to the rigors of opening a facility wrought with government red tape, right in middle of a lovely neighborhood. I have the great pleasure of seeing a dear friend being cared for just as I would care for my own mother. She's in a clean, pretty house (not the traditional sterile, depressing care facility), getting wholesome food, exercise, and lots of loving attention. Bravo, Michael Sparks!Mary Beth Marsh
