If I could rate this place zero stars I would. Let me start with this, I started working at Avanti in February and the building although beautiful is kind of dirty. They have bugs crawling on the carpet throughout the facility and out of the two housekeepers they have, one of them spends all of her time hiding in utility closets and smoking behind the building in the dumpster area. Management has changed 2 times since Ive been there. Residents arent properly taken care of at times due to short staffing and the management wants care staff and medication aides to do kitchen duties and housekeeping duties on top of their regular duties. George is currently the interim Executive Director and he is the laziest man I have ever worked with. He does not like communicating with family members, instead he will ask the medication aide to do it so he can continue browsing for cars on his computer. He hosts 3-4 daily meetings a week and will be in there for house with the management team eating and drinking while care staff members are suffering on the floor and need assistance so residents dont go without their basic needs. Maria is payroll but she talks to care staff and aides like theyre dogs. She said and I quote, Get used to the disrespect or find a new place to work. She takes up for her little minion Kevin who has made numerous racist and misogynistic comments to the women who work in this facility. Maria is probably one of the worst people here, she balances her checkbook on company time and locks her office door while she plays games on her computer. We once had a great nurse named Elva who went above and beyond to protect care staff and med aides from rude treatment and also fought to make sure residents have better care. They fired her because she refused to treat her staff like they didnt matter. Our building went without a actual nurse for a month during this covid 19 situation and the two new nurses who were hired quit after 2 days. Anthony, is the current nurse and although he isnt mean he is a liar and will say and do whatever it takes to protect his job even if that means firing good workers and limiting care for residents. He is lazy and instead of doing his job to make sure the floor is fully staffed he will ask us to hold our coworkers responsible instead. They fire you for sticking up for yourself and coworkers even when you are respectful. They demand that you work like dog and do 3-4 different jobs and pay you for only one. Residents are not happy here and hate the turnover rate of staff. George is one of the most hated managers to ever work at avanti and all the residents say so. Please please think it through before moving your family members into this building or before working here. There are numerous facilities off of long prairie road and any of them would be better than avanti.

My 90 year old mother is a resident at Avanti. With all that is going on in the world right now, one thing I have not had to worry about is my Mom. The management and staff at Avanti are outstanding. They were good before all this, but they have really upped their game during this difficult time. They are on lock down and I haven't been able to go and take her out or spend time with her one on one. Everyday, I get an email with all the activities and programs they are doing for their residents I call my Mom everyday and she is doing fine, she sounds happy. Her meals are brought to her and she is getting visits from the wonderful staff. This has been one less thing that I have to be concerned about, and I appreciate it so much!! if my Mom needs something they will call me and I take it to the entrance and someone from the staff will come and take it from me and give it to her. They have kept her spirits up so my spirits are up. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a home for your loved ones, because that is what it is a home. Thank you so much, Avanti, for all that you have done and continue to do at his difficult time and always.

I continue to work here and I can't emphasize enough what a great place this is. Our present staff is awesome and everyday strives to be the best for our residents. The residents and the families consistently bring a smile to my face with their little thoughts of bringing us a piece of candy or a cookie. Always grateful to us for keeping their loved ones safe even during these difficult days we are facing now.We do have our ups and downs but I could honestly say compared to other places I have seen and visited we are number one in atmosphere cleanliness and personnel
