I am reviewing and researching independent senior living in El Paso, Texas for my mother who will be moving here within the year. I believe there are 4 facilities in El Paso and after reviewing them all I believe we will be going with Solstice. From what I can see even though we have not toured it yet because of the quarentine I have been very pleased with their professionalism in reaching out to me through email, phone calls, and texts. I think my mother will be very happy here when she makes this life transition.

UPDATE: After making several attempts to rectify MISMANAGEMENT and HORRIBLE food quality, my dad's rental agreement was terminated. This termination was delivered while my dad was suffering from pneumonia and without cause. Solstice Senior Living corporate was deaf to this whole situation. The openly hostile attitude toward my dad was shameless and pervasive. The 'glowing' reviews you read here are written by the employees in fear of losing their jobs. I spoke with several other residents who were as unhappy as my dad but afraid to complain. The behavior of Solstice Senior Living at Rio Norte boarders on ELDER ABUSE. After reading the other reviews, I feel like my parent lives in another place! The food is often inedible and any nutritional value that a meal may have is either cooked completely out of it, or it is served raw. I am never questioned nor stopped and asked for identification when I enter the facility. Many of the residents are afraid to speak out for fear of retribution. The manager is an inept bully who does not care about the well-being of the residents. This could be a nice facility if there were more employees like Gabriel. Considering that it is the only senior living facility on the east side of El Paso, it should be at full capacity! My parent only stays here because of convenience to family and that he prepares many of his own meals in his room. If I could, I would move my parent from Soltice del Norte.
