Copperas Cove Nursing & Rehab

This place is terrible and mistreated my grandmother in there. Bed full of pee and no one came and changed her. The nurses are unprofessional and ratchet. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I did some training here in order to get my CNA and I think the evening shift did pretty well considering they are short on staff. I saw the residents treated with respect for the most part. However, the morning shift is a different story. The staff was rude to us trainees who were there to help them because, apparently, we should know how to do everything they do after observing for less than a week. The nurses stood around with nasty looks on their faces and the overall morale was poor on the morning shift. That has to affect the residents. The place was really nice on the outside and the interior didn't have a strong odor like most nursing homes do. They are understaffed as most nursing homes are but my main concern is the attitudes some of the CNAs and nurses have. They have to remember that they are in peoples' home and if they get burnt out, it's not the residents' fault, it's just time for them to find a new career.

CCNR was a great place to work for over 5 years. I trusted the staff enough to bring my dad there at the end of his life. Everyone is very compassionate and willing. This is a pretty tough job, and the employees at CCNR are great at it.
